Tari Ayana started as a daydreamer — the kid who was in the room but somewhere else entirely, building worlds in her head before she had the tools to put them on the page. That changed in high school, when she picked up A Court of Thorns and Roses for a class assignment and finished the entire series before she finished the report. From there, storytelling stopped being an escape and became a craft: she studied structure the way other writers study sentences, obsessing over foreshadowing, pacing, and the kind of plot twist that feels inevitable only in hindsight.

Now a screenwriting student and multi-hyphenate creator — she’s written, directed, produced, and starred in her own short films — Tari brings a screenwriter’s precision to her fiction and a novelist’s patience to her scripts. Her debut dystopian series, AMPLIFIED, reflects what she cares about most: characters who aren’t written as an afterthought, worlds specific enough to feel real, and stories built to connect readers across backgrounds that don’t usually share a page.
